It must be DDR3. The motherboard dictates the type of RAM that can be inserted into the slots and it has to be DDR3. There is only a minor difference between the two types however, and if you are just gaming, there shouldn't be a huge issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The motherboard used in this model PC will only accept DDR3 memory modules. DDR4 memory modules are incompatible and cannot fit into the DIMM slots. The motherboard can support a maximum of 32GB of DDR3 memory (8GB max for each slot, 4 slots total). It is recommended to use all the same type and size memory modules to avoid incompatibility issues.
