It sounds like your audio is not properly configured. You can try disconnecting your speakers and reconnecting them. When reconnecting them make sure you select front speaker out. Then right click on the speaker icon on the bottom right corner by the clock and select playback devices. Then right click on the one that says Speakers and click on Configure Speakers and go through the Wizard.
