There is a pci-e x1 slot below the GPU, but they are very close to each in my model (has a GTX 1070 installed). There are multiple slots in the back of the case that extend below the motherboard, as it isn't a full sized ATX motherboard. I ordered a pci-e extender and using that I was able to mount another card internally connected to the built on pci-e x1 slot. The card was mounted in the case with the expansion slots (not secured to the motherboard since it ends), and the pci-e extender connected the card to the unused pci-e x1 slot. The extender is very small and didn't have a problem connecting in to the x1 slot even with the big video card in place.
