The 1080 Ti accepts HDMI and Display Port connections so choose a monitor that will support either of those connections. The motherboard also has connections for VGA, DVI, and DisplayPort but that would mean not utilizing the 1080 Ti and that would be pointless. With the 1080 Ti, get the largest monitor with the highest resolution and refresh rate you can afford in your budget so you can fully beast mode it with the GPU. The NVIDIA driver for the 1080 Ti also allows for sound output out of these connections separate from the audio / mic jacks on the case.
