“I just bought this computer last weekend and have been attempting to get it set up with dual monitors but it appears the second hdmi port wont work and the monitors I bought are not dvi compatible what can I do to get my dual monitors working”

You have to use the hmdi port that's below the motherboard and the displayport that's to the right of that hdmi port on the graphics card. You have to get a displayport to hdmi adapter to connect your second monitor using that port.
