“I am planning to get another monitor for this pc but I know that the motherboard hdmi port cant be used. I know I have to use graphics card ports but there is only one hdmi and a vga. if i wanted to have two monitors would I have to use on hdmi and vga?”

You can get a Display Port to HDMI cable and that would work for multiple screens, but VGA would also suffice
