It depends on what you are using it for. Streaming or running several programs at once makes the hyperthreading of the I7 a good choice. However, gaming does not really utilize hyperthreading and having more cores is better. Either way, I really like what AMD has done with this processor, it would be a good choice no matter what you are using it for. I am pretty happy with mine. I was hoping for the MSI motherboard but got a gigabyte that is fine (wish it had more than 2 fan headers). I will add anther 8 or 16 Gigs of memory later and I am sure this thing will be a rocket, it is already plenty fast. The MSI Aero graphics card is fine but would have liked a dual fan GPU. For the money this is a great system. But if you do not need the financing, I would recommend going to Cyberpower's site and building one. For not much more money you can get some upgrades and pick which components you want. But I would still go with the 2700x build. It is a great processor for the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In my personal experience for day to day stuff Intel is a smidge better. When you push them to their limits, like with heavy gaming, the Ryzen 7 comes out on top though.
