Thanks for reaching out Roxy. Newer computers are using HDMI as their primary source for display as it refreshes its rate at 60MHz depending on the monitor. VGA is being outsourced with newer graphics cards so unless your video card supports VGA, it will not work. Most monitors should support HDMI as well, however, if it does not, you may need another monitor or source that can use an HDMI cable. Unfortunately, as the video card uses HDMI for the display, even if not for gaming, you need it to at least get display.
