“My son and I tried to upgrade the graphics card to a GEforce GTX1050ti. We seemed to have trouble getting the PC to then actual work. It appears there is a slot of some sort of power input on the new graphics card, we didn't see any plugs to plug in.”

those plugs come from the Powersupply they are called Pci ports they power the card
