As long as the computer is in a location that allows for ample, cool, air flow, the system should not overheat at all, even when running intensive programs.

As to the framerate, that will depend on several factors, such as the internet connection (if playing online), any mods, texture packs, etc.  However, given the system requirements for Minecraft and Terraria, we would expect those games to run quite well.
