What may be happening is that your camera could be set to night vision, check to the night vision settings. in the ON setting the camera will stay in B/W. In the auto setting the camera will switch between B/W to color depending on the lighting. in the OFF setting the camera will stay in color.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The camera will change to black/white when it's viewing sensor does not have enough light to broadcast in color. So if you have it set to view a bright daylite area in the room it should be is color. If that area is blocked from the sunlight it will, depending on the amount of illumination, change to black/white. My camera has actually changed from color to black/white when dark heavy clouds cover the house. I also get alerts as lights on timers change the amount of light in the house during the evening.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the camera is looking at a darker or poorly lit area, it will go into an infrared black and white mode, which enables it to see at night. If you turn on a lamp in that area so it is better lit, the picture will change back to color. Hope this helps.
