Yes we use the timer all the time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I have this microwave and use the timer for timing many things. If you push "Kitchen Timer" the timer will set without cooking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you look at the enlargement of the control panel there is a clearly marked “kitchen timer” button on the bottom section

I am looking at the DACOR product to replace our OTR microwave that is no longer working. We need to have a the vents that blow out the front such as this DACOR has, but I too saw the "NO" for timer, and I have that on my current microwave and use it all the time, it is a better timer than my double ovens, so when baking in the double ovens, I almost always use my microwave timer, just to do the cooking timing. My current timer also goes off and stays in the "alert" mode until someone comes and turns it off. Can be annoying, but a good feature so you don't accidentally miss it when the timer goes off. I guess I'll have to keep researching this for the DACOR.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am talking about a timer for timing other cooking, not timing cooking in the microwave. It is an independent timer for timing only. I saw it in specifications under features. It says Timer - no.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure what the questions means. What kind of timer are you talking about and where do you “see” that there isn’t one? Of course you can cook food by indicating a cooking time.
