Questiondoes this model have automatic defrost

- Answer Hi Diane, Our Danby Designer 117 (355mL) Can Capacity Beverage Center is equipped with an automatic defrost function and does not require manual defrosting. Defrost water from the appliance is channeled into a drip tray located above the compressor. Heat transfer from the compressor causes the defrost water to evaporate. Regards, Earl

QuestionCan the door be opened from either side

- Answer Hello Chigger, The door on our 117 Can Beverage Cooler opens with the hinge on the right but can be reversed to open with the hinge on the left. The instructions on how to do this are printed in the manual. Kind Regards, Blaire

QuestionWhat's the difference between this model, and the one ending in SSDB?

- Answer I cannot see the full model number of the one you are looking at but the ending of the model numbers indicates colour and branding. For example, the SSDB stands for "stainless steel Danby" meaning that model has a stainless steel door frame and is Danby branded. I would assume that the one you are looking at ends in BDB, which stands for "black Danby" meaning that model has a black frame around the door and is Danby branded.

QuestionThe specifications show the width is 17 8/16" with the door closed. How much space is required with the door open? Does the door open out from the unit or is an opening of more than 17 8/16" required?
