- Answer Nope. The shelves- which are non removable- are only 8 1/2 to 9 inches apart. But, you can stack 2 quarts of ice cream on top of one another.

- Answer My unit is quieter than the general electric bottom freezer refrigerator combination I have in my kitchen. So I'm not sure if you want to know if it runs quieter than some other model or how to make yours run quieter. I can't answer that. Mine is very quiet.
