Hello, Thank you for your question. The DCR044A2BDD power input is 1.0A however start up can be up to 6 times the amperage. It is not recommended that it be on the same circuit as another appliance however you would need to verify the amperage usage of the electric fireplace with an electrician to confirm if they can be on the same circuit. The actual holders are removable however the interior door is made of molded plastic so the door space cannot be changed. Regards Ann H
