Yo my chill-ski, This thing does not designate temperatures on the control knob located on the outer back side of the mini cool. (1-10 like most) I have a fridge thermometer that i monitor for my food safeties. Temperature inside is calculated by a variety of factors when it comes to conventional refrigeration systems, air saturation, outside temps, regeneration once the fridge has been opened, and the amount of stored cold energy in the items inside the fridge. I reconin' a lager refrigerator with a circulation fan could keep the temps more even/ balanced throughout the entire compartment (as some foods/items freeze to close the the coil area and/or entry duct from the freezer, some areas are don't cool as well like in doors/ poorly ventilated compartments for example. Im sure there is a full size fridge in Bestbuy that has a digital setting...but its gonna be full size. likely not what your looking for. There is a new cooling system our there, not sure if it is more accurate to maintain a precise temperature in the mini side of coolers--and it likely won't have a 'specific' temperature setting either. Im SURE that there is a lab bench style unit that exists the scientific supply world, a digitally controlled unit (atleast i would assume so) to be accurate down to a degree in the compartment, check with NASA. haha, i got jokes. \/ heres that superconductor fridge by Advanti \/ via quick search (sry best buy) http://www.homedepot.com/p/Avanti-1-7-cu-ft-Superconductor-Mini-Refrigerator-in-White-SHP1700W/203464661?cm_mmc=Shopping%7CTHD%7Cgoogle%7CD29+Appliances&mid=s5WAMPekZ%7Cdc_mtid_8903tb925190_pcrid_174512207692_pkw__pmt__product_203464661_slid_&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIn7nZw6GH1gIVBQ1pCh2HRQWXEAQYAiABEgIobvD_BwE Good luck, sounds like you have something critical to refrigerate. If that be the case, i would look into maybe a supplier who is designing products for specific temperature requirements, if your looking at refrigerator to keep a small amount of food or drink chilled, the danby does a good job at it. On the Danby mini i just bought @ Best Buy, there are no coils visible on the outside, top, or bottom. Feeling the sides i determined this unit expels heat via coils conducting to the outer aluminum casing sides. (which didn't seem that great of a design to me...an added layer for getting the heat to get through..hmm i dunno. It works though, not to mention it matches its 10cuft big brother that i have also. Canadian company, quality stuff, hope it lasts. If not, @best buy you'll be hearing from me :) Good luck Carmen. Steve
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Carmen, this unit works with a dial and not a digital thermometer, you will need to adjust the temperature slowly manually until it reaches the desired temperature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this will keep temperature stable.
