In my case I brought my Dell all in one system in to have my hard drive replaced with a Samsung 860 EVO solid state drive. The geek squad installed the SSD and cloned over my old drive. I keep my system updated religiously to the latest Win 10 updates with Windows automatic updating and even go into the system to make sure it was updated. The geek squad updated some of my drivers that needed to be updated without me asking them to, so I believe if you asked them to, they would make sure you had the latest from Microsoft. They even deleted everything I had on the system concerning Western Digital which was my external backp drive because I asked them to because I was going to a Samsung t5 SSD for my external backup drive. All this cost me $85.00 bucks.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Normally a new unit will be pre-loaded with a current Windows package. I do not believe that older OS versions get transferred. That goes against their "No Programs" policy for data transfer.
