Thanks for your question, Galleo. We may be able to recover the data from your old laptop even if the computer cannot turn on. We would want to check out the computer first to be sure. Please visit www.geeksquad.com/schedule to set up a free consultation at your local Best Buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes,you can if you back up data in some way
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I hope you didn't take your departed laptop to Best Buy, or worse yet, purchase a new machine from the above aforementioned retailer...and you are most certainly not --- please --- for heavens sake---not thinking of going through the unforeseeable task of replacing the core, the heart, the soul of your home office/bedroom/desk/bed/nightstand/lap/etc... while aimlessly pondering pentadualoctahypercorethreaded11thgen17.65mhzghz processors, then sedated shamelessly by trust me Tommy's targeting anyone who just lost 3tb of scanned family photos and is ready to suck start a .45 but is now, just for you, offering peace and quiet, hope, resolution, a new solid state of mind to keep you driven and efficient... but ultimately sentencing you to another 2 years and countless nights spent worrying, feeding your fears, losing sleep or worse, losing your mind one terror-byte after the other, slowly eating your time like a slithering snake sliding skillfully under the soft, fragile GORILLA GLASS that protects your investment, the face and shine of your digital world, like a "Back in 5 minutes!" sign slapped carelessly on an a case of thin mints left unattended in front of a dispensary. Sounds cruel but I will admit, the level of support (paid only) after a total equipment failure, especially three days after your extended warranty period expired is really second to none. They really do a super job at not allowing you to choke up on your tears while they choke you with the next new model with the same specs but higher price because it's got newer parts, at least chronologically, I would hope...well at least they offer a discount if you trade your old, working.....oops, sorry, too soon? Like the DMV, you'll be back in two years, renewing your same specs, almost like a machine....but no, forget that, you're better than the machines they sell, you won't cease to function, so abruptly..I hope...at least not without your relatives knowing why you shut down, and without the pressure of being replaced with a newer model, right? Life is obviously, consistent in it's uncertainty. Sometimes unjust, but really, is it really ever just lost? Get a small screw driver, take off the bottom case, actually wait just go on Youtube, spend under $20 on tools and hardware and recover your own data. The shame of giving anyone who calls their group of data pirates a "geek" or even a "squad" of such, will outweight any failures you may inquire during your data recovery adventure. If you can't risk the learning experience, pay a local kid or small shop to. I don't shop online because I appreciate being able to shop for what you believe is the best, but just like someone who leads out a sentence with "trust me", take the time to make the best purchase, for you and yourself. ....or don't, and continue to be shocked that you are in the same position 2 years later, but so loyal to your own trust, which means unwavering faith in something that is obviously, nuts.
