Do we need internet connection? null

the cameras are hard wired to DVR and the DVR is hooked up to a monitor.. we use Defender phone app to see remotely. I think it has to be hooked up to Internet to view remotely. The hard drive is the storage device and you set it up through that. It comes with a mouse.
