Hello, I have these speakers and in my opinion a separate subwoofer isn't necessary. The bass with the built-in subwoofers is rich and full.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No sub woffer needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same question when I bought these. Provided that you input the Bass outputs from your receive into each speaker's inputs, and provided you plug the speakers into an AC outlet, I don't think a subwoofer is necessary. I do NOT have the bass settings turned up all the way and I get more bass than I need. You can feel the bass and it will rattle windows. Consistent base with movies, streaming music and gaming.

Please try again later. That depends on different factors, such as how much bass you want, whether you are on a post tension slab vs. being upstairs, etc. I would recommend getting a dedicated subwoofer. I recommend Martin Logan S700 series (600W), unless your room is on a post tension slab. Then you might consider a Martin Logan 1600 (1800W). Just remember you will need subwoofer cables for those towers. The more subwoofers you have, the smoother the bass experience will be.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I find the range of sound on these speakers to be quite effective. Unless you prefer added bass for your music or for high energy blockbuster video, I believe a separate subwoofer is not necessary. IMHO
