Yes. The speakers have a mechanical fastening system that locks into place when you turn a screw. There are six of these evenly spaced around the speaker. You simply cut out the hole using the enclosed guide, run the wires through the walls or ceiling from your receiver to the speaker, connect the speaker and place it in the hole. Turning the screws locks the speaker to the sheet rock or wall surface. While you could use them in the ceiling, or in groups for a surround experience, I recommend you use the bi-directional speakers instead of the center channel speaker. You'll get a fuller sound from your system than with these, but it will work.
