Yes, I have the surrounds mounted with these brackets. They work very well and the threads match. The ball swivel holds the weight of the speaker

I honestly would not recommend it I would look into purchasing the rocketfish wall mounts but with all things make sure that they are regulated to support the weight of your speakers
