“Will this sub work with an a la carte system or do most components need to be Definitive Technology? In other words, will this sub work well with a Pioneer Elite receiver? I had a ProSub 300 that didn't pair with my Pioneer Elite receiver.”

This subwoofer will work with a Pioneer Elite receiver. The Pro 1000 can be hooked up to any receiver with a subwoofer pre out. It also has the option for high level input via speaker wire.
