A:Answer No, it’s a powered subwoofer with an automatic power-off feature. When the receiver it is not pushing power to it and the receiver is powered off, the Sub goes into a “standby” mode. When the receiver turns back on, it sends a power signal back to the Sub and also turns the Sub back on as well. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the Sub to come back on from the “standby” mode, depending on how powerful your receiver is. I always leave mine on.
