“I'm interested in one of the Definitive Soundbars. If I can live without the Chromecast and ARC, is there much disadvantage with buying an open box W Studio Micro over the Studio Slim ? I've read that they're otherwise nearly identical and far cheaper.”

Hopefully the Studio Slim is improved over the W Studio Micro in more ways than mere ARC and Chromecast. I owned 2 different W Studio Micros and both had the same issue: a terrible popping sound and sometimes complete audio failure until power-cycled. It sounded incredible while it worked, but the issues were unacceptable. I later found many others that reported the same problem with the W Studio Micro, so I can't advise making that purchase.
