“When purchased, this laptop is in S mode. If I choose to change to regular widows 11, when is this done, upon first startup or can I wait to try S mode and change to regular mode after a coupl tof months, I uderstand one cannot go back to S mode.”

• Please note once you switch out of S Mode, you can’t go back unless you do a full reinstall of Windows. After switching, you’ll be able to install apps from outside the Microsoft Store, like Chrome, Zoom, or custom enterprise tools.
