“I bought this laptop today and updated everything, including the wifi adapter drivers etc. Now the wifi speed is slow. My usual speed is 30-40 mbps but this laptop is only allowing 10 Mbps on average. The speed is fine on my other devices”

I am not having this issue. The farther away you are from the router the slower the speed will be. Try at different times of day as well. If the problem persists, then you might have a faulty WiFi card and might want to get a new one.
