Q: QuestionI have attached the laptop to a dell monitor using HDMI cables. When I close the laptop, the monitor goes black with message can't detect the HDMI cable. Why? Must laptop be left open?

• A:Answer You most likely need to change power settings with windows 10. Should be a setting for "when I close the lid".--you should be able to select "do nothing". It's most likely set to "go to sleep" by default.
