• Actually, this model does include a battery but that does not appear to be called out specifically anywhere on the product page.

• Yes, it has a battery. I haven't used it yet with battery power, but given the large screen I would expect the battery life is fairly limited. But it's a neat feature to have.

• We purchased this yesterday. I have not set it up yet, but the sales person showed how it could be picked up and carried around, like a laptop. So if it does not have a battery it must be MAGIC because he picked it up from the counter - Walla! - no cords :o) I'll find out for sure when I set it up for my wife today.
