I had the same problem with the first Lenovo I bought, I went through 3 others each having some issue and then I exchanged it for a Dell and got rid of my computer problems, the Dell has been great, battery holds out and everything is fine. Geeks Squad told me on the Lenovo's don't expect to much from the battery, but I would think 3 hours is a little short.
