I have played a CD & the sound was excellent threw my Bose speakers & the DVD video was very good. It was most important to have that capability built in to the tower because I did not want buy a peripheral CD/DVD. Saves room & expense.

Yes, this desktop has a DVD+RW drive.

My year-old 13th Gen I5 3020 model has a DVD drive. I'm not sure newer versions do. The detailed specs will show an optical DVD drive.
