No cables came with my new computer. I wrongly assumed that I could use the cable that connected my old computer with my relatively new Dell monitor. Nope -- I had to return to Best Buy and buy a new cable. I took my computer and monitor into the store and stood by while the Geek Squad connected the new cable to make sure it worked. Good thing I did, because the first one they tried did not work. Neither did the second one. The third one was the charm.
