I am currently in the market for a new computer and after hearing hearing the fear speak, I am still leaning towards the AMD Ryzen options.

The computer you are looking at is very vulnerable to security breaches right now that are nearly undetectable. Moreover, a tower with this much computational power will certainly be a prime target for the crypto-miners to take advantage of. I am not supposed to share links, so google "Ryzen backdoor." Everyone might want to wait until the hardware issues are addressed by the manufacturers, which would involve new hardware altogether. Happy Shopping!
