• You will need to connect the speakers using the regular 3.5 mm jack.

• My old speakers using miniature phone jacks plugged right in. My problem was that someone forgot to install the driver package to make the sound card work. After something over an hour on the phone with Dell tech support they finally got it working and is fine now. Decent service, not so good quality control on the part of Dell and the Geek Squad.
