Is the fan to the laptop supposed to be loud? null

I absolutely do not hear the fan at all - Very quiet!

It's not SUPPOSED to be, but if you find it to be so, you might want to open it up and blow out the interior: it might have "inhaled" a small piece of paper or something else that is hitting the fan. Other than that, ask a couple of friends to listen to it and see what they think. It might just be you. If they agree, you should take it to a technician and get a professional opinion. Also, it's possible that you are pushing it too hard, trying to get it to handle too much, more than the CPU is made for.
