your guess is as good as mine, I only purchased in Nov 2016, but the price of monitor was a good price. You need to decide for yourself (Money watcher or person with money to spend)!!!

Please try again later.I know Best Buy won't like this answer, but having owned ( literally ) Over 40 monitors, not 1 has failed at my business and we rotate around the 5-6 year mark with monitors; so in my opinion, it would last longer than 4 year, unless you have power problems or environmental issues ( Moisture, pets, frequent moving around). That being said, if that extra $20 gives you that piece of mind, then I believe it's well worth it.
