Not really. Retina standard, being Apple's proprietary, is higher than supported by this monitor. But you are still getting nice crisp picture.

Please try again later.I haven't seen them side by side, but the picture looks excellent due to the glossy screen and I am very particular as I need true color but also have a sense of what an average consumer has for my business. It completely depends on what you want to do with it. If you are doing general tasks, I would have no hesitation to purchase this.
