“I have a old Macbook Pro with 1 mini-DisplayPort. I want to know if I can connect the 2 monitors(S2719DGF) with 1 cable (like HDMI) and then plug one monitor with my laptop using HDMI 2 to mini-Displayport. I tried it but doesn't work. Any advice?”

Apple doesn't support more than 1 external monitor on older laptops. They will disable one of the ports when the other is in use.
