A simple HDMI→DP cable cannot convert signals in this direction. For two reasons: HDMI to DP cable is one‑way, and they work only from DisplayPort source → HDMI display, not the other way around. The S2725H has no DP input, so it cannot accept DP signals at all. So a cable labeled “HDMI to DP” will not work in your setup.
