Q: QuestionI bought a Dell XPS 8960 from Best Buy. I am looking to buy another 1TB drive that I will want to clone as a back up drive. The drive is identified as : NVMe KXG80ZNV1T02 NVMe KIOXIA 1024 GB. Is there anything more specific to know when ordering this?

• A:Answer Dell did answer my question but they forgot to tell me the primary drive is encrypted. The Samsung Magician software told me it couldn't clone an encrypted drive. Using a little searching, I had to unencrypt the drive using windows settings. Then after cloning the drive, i re-encrypted the primary drive.

Q: QuestionI just purchased a Dell XPS 8960. On windows, I see only the C drive. Does it come with the SSD installed?

• A:Answer Yes. It also has an additional NVME slot for another NVME SSD drive. This additional NVME slot ALSO had the M2 screw in it. (If you buy another NVME SSD, the SSD probably won't come with the M2 screw needed to secure the drive to the mother board. So that was a small plus in buying my Dell desktop. Apparently the M2 screw is difficult to find and one usually has to order them off Amazon.

• A:Answer Yes. And whats more, if you purchase another compatible NVME drive. You may not need to buy that M2 screw that doesn't come normally with the new drive: i bought the Dell 4960 XPS computer from Best Buy and lo and behold. There was a screw attached to the empty NVME slot!!! Dell had already provided the M2 screw!!! :):):)
