It is self cleaning. It has a self-cleaning cycle when you power on and power off. To rinse the LatteCrema system, you push a button. For descaling, all you do is add the descaling solution, water, and the machine will do the rest. It is quite easy, you just assist the machine with the water refills. It does run through a lot of water really fast.

Yes, when it starts up I put an empty cup underneath it because it cleans itself. Then when I shut it off after use I replace the empty cup because it again cleans itself.

Yes, it is self cleaning. You just need to dump once in a while the coffee waste compartment. That’s all. Very low maintenance.

Yes, self cleans when turned on or when turned off. If you have the Crema attachment it will warn you to clean by pressing the flashing light for cleaning.
