Yes, the Magnifica Evo is designed to keep water inside the internal circuit after brewing. This is completely normal and necessary for proper operation. Keeping the circuit full ensures that the machine is always ready for the next extraction. If the internal system were empty, the machine could draw air into the circuit, which may cause an error or prevent brewing until the circuit is refilled. If the machine sits unused for a long period of time, or if air gets into the system, you may see an alert when you try to brew. If you want to purge older water or simply clean out the internal path before moving the machine to another location, you can perform a manual hot water cycle: 1.
