“I have a pair of Bose 161 speakers and a Samsung 4K UHD tv. Will this be able to tie everything together or should I just buy the Bose amplifier?”

Yes the sound is amazing, I’m running a similar set up. Except for I’m also using shakers sound in my movie recliners .. this unit uses dual subwoofer outlets so you can run your regular sound system and an additional sub.. the bluetooth is very responsive and connects with ease. To the Samsung tv or you can use the high speed hdmi ports connected straight smart hub that the tv uses.. I’m using both which is a little overkill.. but it allows me to have the sound of the tv playing while playing a game,movie on wireless headphones.. note the detachable mic on the receiver is very good. Just the location of the port could have been better thought out,to eliminate cords. I don’t use the mic so no cords lol... I hope this help you a little
