• Yes, it has a soundflield adjustment, but very hidden in the manual; and works basically (my bad memory) for stereo in Dolby PLII format and another if I recall. That's it. (it is explained late in the manual)

• Depending on how you hook up the speakers. There’s a program for surround sound but you could by pass that program for basic stereo speakers
