According to Apple the 7th Gen IPod has Bluetooth installed. You just have to turn it on and pair with the AVR receiver. If this info from Apple is not correct then you are out of luck. Denon makes an upgraded model with wifi, AirPlay etc., but it’s a little more in price.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can play my old iPod on this receiver. You just need a little gizmo that has a headphone jack on one end and female RCA on the other. 8 bucks on Amazon. The use regular RCA cable to connect to the receiver. Sounds great.

I use a switch box, too, so i plug the computers, the ipod, the ipad to the switch box and the switch box to the Media Channel, so I can switch between sources from my desk. Not sure how the Denon handles any enhancement from stereo IN to 5.1 out. Sounds great though, really happy with the Denon.
