• No you need to have an 8k source and right know their isn’t any tv broadcasting in 8k only in 4K the only 8k being broadcast is in Japan .the tv signal will up convert to 8k then down convert to 4K.Making the signal sharper.

• Yes, the Denon AVR-S970H is compatible with 8K and 4K 120 HZ video signals. All 6 HDMI inputs are 8K/4K compatible.
