“Can this receiver process 11.2? I have 7.2 surround, plus two in ceiling speakers, so, that's my 9.2. I want to add two front height speakers. Can this receiver do that? Would I have to add an external amplifier?”

I believe it can. I have 2 subs, front, center, surround, 2 rear, plus 2- 2way ceiling speakers

Please try again later.Hello, Our Denon AVR-X3700H receiver has nine channels of amplification built-in. 9.2 and 7.2.2 ATMOS speaker configurations are possible with no additional amplifier. However, the AVR-X3700H also has the processing power of 11.2. By adding an external two-channel amplifier, 11.2 or 7.2.4 ATMOS speaker configurations are possible.
