I had the same issue with my new Tivo Edge, connected to my new Denon 4700, to my new Samsung NeoQLED. I turned off HDR on the TIVO, and everything returned to normal. No Blackouts when I fast-forwarded, skipped, etc. YES, I did notice a very subtle change to the picture, but not nearly enough to matter to me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This has to do with how the TV and TiVo negotiate with each other when there's an HDMI repeating device (AVR) in the middle. You would need to contact the TV manufacturer to report the issue and see if they can alter how the TV's EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) communicates with the TiVo when there's an AVR in the mix. A workaround would be to connect the TiVo directly to the TV and then use ARC/eARC to feed the audio back to the AVR. This bypasses the HDMI repeating process.
