  • QuestionDear Denon Team, You seem to give conflicting answers on whether you can use Denon Home 150 (or HEOS 1 speakers) as surround speakers. Crutchfield says that you can assign these speakers as surround in Setup on my Marantz SR7013.

    Asked by IRambler.

    • Answer Hello, Denon Home 150 speakers can be used as wireless surround speakers when combined with a Denon Home Soundbar 550, but not an AV receiver. It is possible to use the HEOS App to Group Denon Home 150 speakers with an AVR so that you can get whatever is playing in the AVR to output to the speaker(s) in Stereo, creating multi zones throughout your home. However, they cannot be used as wireless surround speakers with an AV receiver. Asked by Rk35.

  • QuestionCurrently own a single Home 150NV in white and unfortunately, Best Buy no longer carries the NV model. Can the Home 150NV be stern paired with the Home 150 and what are the limitations? App pairing only or voice command of 150 also pairing 150NV?

    Asked by Larry.

    • Answer Hello Tizeye. The Home 150 and the Home 150NV will pair just as happily as though they were both the exact same model number. The only difference is the Home 150NV has no ability to receive voice commands. The Home 150 can still support voice commands when paired with the Home 150 NV.

  • QuestionWill the Home 150 work with the Denon soundbar DHTS218BKE3?

    Asked by Edward.

    • Answer Hello Edward. The DHT-S218BKE3 can have a subwoofer hard-wired to it but unfortunately, it does not lend itself to wireless or hardwire pairing with our Home 150NV speakers. The Home 550 Soundbar can be paired wirelessly with the Home 150 speakers.

  • QuestionWhat is the wattage?

    Asked by Wattage.

    • Answer Hello Wattage. The wattage rating is not listed for the Home 150 because wattage ratings can only offer a meaningful guide when matching an amplifier to a specific pair of speakers. As the speaker drivers and the amplifier for the Home 150 have already been carefully selected as an ideal pairing from a power and performance point of view, it means the amplifier power is already plentiful enough for the desired performance of the speaker drivers in use. Owing to their rated sensitivity (which can vary enormously from one speaker to another), some speakers can go very loud with only 2 watts being fed into them, other speakers can sound under-powered when receiving 85 watts. As we have removed the need to compare measurements by having already matched the drivers with the amplification, the necessity for a listed wattage rating for the Home 150 has been removed.

  • QuestionCan I pair this speaker with my Samsung TV?

    Asked by CoolJ.

    • Answer Hello CoolJ. Yes - if your TV has a Bluetooth transmitter, it can be paired with the Home 150. As Bluetooth is designed primarily as an audio-only technology, it is best used for sound only as there may be latency when used with an AV source. If your TV has an analog audio output, it can be hard-wired to the Home 150's AUX port on it's rear panel without any latency.
