Is there a place to put photo memory stick or card? null

I use my laptop to clear my camera when my puter (that is over 25 yrs old) will not upload my photos to my puter. It seems to work for me. I got my puter in 2005 and still have it. It is really packed though, so went to an external drive. Does this puter tower have a port for an external drive? Or is it like the Camera, won't work........

There APPEARS to be a slot for a memory card, but it DOES NOT WORK on mine. The card only goes half-way into the slot and no further...therefore I have an older digital camera full of pictures and no place to download them now with this computer. Also, I can't hook up a monitor with speakers because this computer only accepts a USB connection for the monitor. Someone PLEASE tell me how to get my pictures downloaded. I've long ago lost the usb cord that came with the camera....but I'm guessing its too old anyway. this is an older digital camera. If I go to the store, will they carry the size of cord I need? Because obviously my memory card is not made for this piece of 'whatever'. And with Win 10 its so difficult to download pics anyway. PLUS, I've lost ALL my info off my old computer. I still have the computer, but guess I need to buy a flash drive to get my old files off that computer.
